Recently it came to my attention that Hyundai had a new ad for its vehicles. But it was different than the regular ads you see on television. You know: the get cash back now and employee discount ads. Take a look here:

Now everyone in your industry advertises by some method that turns out to be the way everyone else does it. Hyundai could have advertised it’s cars like everyone else. Show all the cars and plaster the screen with cash back awards etc.. They could have compared their cars like others to be tough and fast like a lion or bear, etc…

They took the old story of the lion going after the gazelle where the lion wins because it’s supposed to be strong and king of the forest. Instead they got your attention and turned the situation around with the gazelle chasing the lion and winning in the end. Then the words: Rethink Everything!!

You have to “Rethink Your Marketing” if you want to standout from everyone else in the industry. You need buyers to remember you first.

Think about advertisements that have stood out. Think of products and services that you remember from ads you’ve seen or heard. They are the ones that work.

You need to take a look at your company’s marketing and be creative. Don’t be boring like everyone else because your buyers will look at you as no different from the next competitor.
